As an appreciator of all things automotive, I enjoy having conversations about the next new car or truck coming out and all the latest greatest features that will accompany it. While there are many who enjoy the benefits of buying a two year old model at a reasonable discount, there are equally as many who desire the next new thing and all the gadgets it has to offer. The great news is that our economy needs BOTH mindsets of people; those that value a discount in turn for existing wear and tear, and those that will pay a premium for the fresh smell and the knowledge that no one has mishandled the item previously.
The great thing is that this example is equally relevant to the Real Estate Market. Do you yearn for the pricing discount, or do you yearn to know that nothing has ever been spilled on the carpet or that the bath tub has never run over and flooded the Master Bath? There is certainly validity to both sides of the argument considering the things I've come across in a few "memorable" homes I've had the pleasure to tour!
